Would someone please explain to me what is wrong with everyone having healthcare? It has long been recognized that having sick, untreated and perhaps infectious people moving through society is both morally unconscionable and not beneficial to that society. Thus, taxpayers pay for the uninsured's medical treatment, but at a much higher cost for emergency rooms than would be charged in a doctor's office. Further, a healthy workforce is more productive and uses fewer benefits than a sick one. It would appear to be a win-win situation.
