  1. Wildwood Crest - Why are some Wildwood spouters who constantly urge government consolidation of the entire island so oblivious to the feelings of residents in the other three communities, who quite clearly understand the increased, resulting costs, owing to conditions peculiar to Wildwood? Our taxes are high enough in the Crest, without our having to absorb any more from any other town.

  2. Stone Harbor - Why is it so hard for the bridge attendant/police to keep people from fishing off the toll bridge? I guess it will take someone to get seriously hurt before they think it is necessary to enforce the law.

  3. Wildwood - It seems the thing to do is criticize teachers, police, firefighters, etc. Let's face the truth; they do a great job. Imagine what society would be like without them. I'm not a public servant, but I'm grateful for all those who are on the job.

  4. Stone Harbor - Regarding the parent objecting to a school assembly program: When we had a similar situation back home, we instructed the school solicitor to simply enforce the state laws regarding sex education requirements, which are drawn up to discourage outside interference. Case closed.

  5. North Wildwood / Court House - Rest in peace "William Henfey Sr.," former mayor of North Wildwood. Henfey will be missed and never forgotten by the residents of North Wildwood, and all of Cape May County. Henfey was an honorable man and a true public servant. Thank you for your service and dedication to your community. Our deepest sympathies go out to his wife, children, grandchildren, family and friends.

  6. Avalon - Most of the people that support the building of a hotel in Avalon have to consider, "will my backyard be next?" The purpose of zoning laws is to protect the investments people have made in calling Avalon their own. Should variances be granted, let it be known that the zoning board obviously supports outlandish disregard to zoning regulations designed to protect the character of the town and homeowners. Thus, it could soon one day happen in your own, quaint Avalon backyard. Just ask the many residents who will be in the surrounding area if they ever expected such a development. Protect Avalon.

  7. Sea Isle City - If there were a few bike racks around town, perhaps people would bike instead of drive.

  8. Court House - Watching Gov. Christie campaigning on NJTV was painful when reporters asked about Jeff Bell's gold standard issue. The usually talkative Christie admitted his lack of knowledge on this issue, while Bell kept complaining about the lack of any form of support from the national Republican organization. Weren't there other viable candidates to oppose Cory Booker for Senator?

  9. Lower Township - Why does the LCMR high school insist on keeping the football program? The program costs a lot of money to run, is a dangerous sport and, in reality, has little chance of helping a player get a scholarship. The school could put some of the money into other sports programs and technology upgrades.

  10. North Wildwood - I'm glad there is line dancing every other week in North Wildwood. Why can't we have it every week? It's great exercise for the mind and body.
