We bought a home in 2006 when the prices were still high. After two successful appeals on our taxes, we thought the tax rate was just about right, of course, our home decreased in value by $90,000. Imagine our surprise with the new assessment when our taxes increased by 25 percent! I think that the mayor and city hall wants the money back to the 2006 levels, yet it is just not right. Maybe beach tags are the answer.
