  1. Court House - To the spouter in Court House talking about the cops working the construction zone on the parkway: The cops are working their days off. It is overtime paid by the state of NJ. The over time pay is figured into the construction costs. This is not part of the police budget paid by local taxes.

  2. North Cape May - First will come the "walkway" along Beach and Shore Drives in Lower Township. Soon to follow will be piers with vendors and amusement rides. Not too long after that, the beach fees, taggers and lifeguards. Welcome to the Jersey Shore.

  3. Lower Township - To the Court House medical office spouter: I get tired of it always being about the doctors and their staff. We need to be on time, have our insurance card ready, etc. What about consideration for the patient? When the patient is on time, we still sit and wait for an hour to see the doctor. When we are late, we get a hard time. If we forget to cancel, we get charged. The patient's time is just as valuable as the doctors'.

  5. Wildwood Crest - Seems there's a lot of spouts toward the Crest police department and the mayor. If you want to know what's going on, why don't you just call the mayor and ask? If he's not there, stop by his store. I'm sure he will speak to you. I've spoken to him and he doesn't bite.

  6. Villas - Lobster now being in short supply due to recent news reporting to that effect, means that the only people able to afford this desired luxury will be the rich, and those on food stamps.

  7. Dennis Township - To the OC/PA spouter about fire protection: You are right, the tax rate for Dennis Township is higher than Ocean City. However, the tax rate for fire protection is separate than the township tax rate, and varies by each fire district, three zones. This rate is actually lower than it is in Ocean City, .058 Ocean View District 1. Stop comparing a heavily populated city to a commercialized/rural town. Yes, everyone knows that paid departments are necessary in some instances. However, comparing the price of a paid department to a volunteer department is not even realistic.

  8. West Wildwood - We had a great time on the rides on the boardwalk during Easter. My only complaint would be that the rides need spring cleaning. They smell like peanut butter and cabbage.

  9. Town Bank - To the Erma spouter: You are right. Do the research, instead of listening to faux news. The Koch Brothers spent $490 million in disclosed contributions and $407 million in undisclosed contributions to support their own causes. The top 10 unions combined spend $153,473,251 in political contributions, the Koch Brothers spent $412,670,666. Unions are trying to support USA jobs. Koch brothers are trying to support laws that well help them save tax dollars on their billion dollar oil companies and laws to help them pollute the air.

  10. Del Haven - Trash, trash and more trash being collected at the property on Bayshore Rd.! It's a fire hazard! Why does code enforcement allow people in Del Haven to collect trash on their property? If you call, nothing gets done. This is why people are moving out and abandoning their properties.
