  1. Ocean City - I see at least one spouter is happy that the new iPhones make it more difficult for the government to intercept or download calls/data. From my perspective, I would much rather have the government listen to all of my calls; things like ordering take-out or telling my wife I will be working late, rather than have anything terrorists do slip by unnoticed. People who have something to hide, desire to hide it. The rest of us know that the government could not be bothered worrying about what ordinary working folks like me have to say on the phone.

  3. Avalon - Yes to the hotel in Avalon. I couldn't stand more firmly with the objectors of this project who want to preserve Avalon as a family town, but the purpose of this hotel is to accommodate Avalon's families. Family weddings, family birthdays, family rehearsal dinners, family reunions, celebrations of birth, graduations, little league awards banquets, etc.; all family events! The hotel will also provide employment for the children of families working to pay for college; employment too, for heads of households. It couldn't be more family oriented. Where do I sign up?

  4. Wildwood - It was nice that businesses gave out free coffee on National Coffee Day Sept. 29. Some people are poor and struggling to get by. Life is hard when people depend on food banks, other people and agencies to help out.

  5. Stone Harbor - In response to a Stone Harbor spouter: Only $250,000 for the memorial? Try $350,000. Total mismanagement, as usual. How about $10 million for dredging, $250,000 for a parking lot, a library system that won't build because it's $4 million, etc.?

  6. Avalon - Readers who give "thumbs down" to various spouts online without offering an explanation in the comment section have rendered that feature almost useless, since there is no way to know if they understand what is being spouted, or by reflex, hit the thumbs down button. If you feel the spout is incorrect, then please add credibility with a reason.

  7. Lower Township - Does anyone else wonder what the City of Cape May does with all of the money they collect from taxes, parking meters, beach tags, etc.? The city is so small and nothing ever gets "fixed up." Parts of Lafayette St. look like Camden; it is ridiculous!

  8. Cape May - The president was on '60 Minutes' last evening, and like everything else he does, he blamed the CIA and others for not taking ISIS as a serious threat to our country. The man is a master of passing the buck elsewhere.

  9. Court House - I am amazed at the reaction of spouters in this area on matters involving race and ethnicity, and am concerned that our churches and schools here aren't doing enough to promote more understanding and diversity. The fact is, whether you are open to accept it, that this country has changed, and we all need to read census reports of what America will soon look like.

  10. Stone Harbor - A recent A.P. report found that Chris Christie has already spent more than one-third of his second term outside NJ, raising money for the Republicans, with plans to spend about 29 of the next 47 days on the road. Why isn't this raising eyebrows among our citizens, due to the fiscal problems here, and why isn't Senator Van Drew asking questions?
