  1. Sea Isle City - All of the people who preach no self-serve gas on the argument that it provides jobs are barking up the wrong tree. How many Jersey full-service stations have multiple islands tended by one minimum wage attendant? Does anyone really think that one self-serve island at most gas stations will upset the cosmic plan? Grow up New Jersey, the rest of the world is not burning down or suffering uncontrollable unemployment because they have self-service gas stations.

  2. Wildwood - The Avalon anti-gun spouter is at again, blaming guns for the death of the Marines and sailor at the hand of a homegrown Jihadist. Yes, I agree that guns facilitate violence. They do not cause violence, nor inspire it. That is the product of human hate and immorality. Other homegrown U.S. Jihadists used kitchen appliances to carry out their mayhem, should we ban pressure cookers? Is anyone foolish enough to believe that if we banned firearms that anyone other than the law-abiding would surrender them? Legally-owned firearms in the hands of the righteous may some day be our only defense.

  3. Avalon - Noticed a lot of drinking and broken bottles on the beach this year. If you are going to allow the drinking, at least clean up the glass. Someone is going to get hurt.

  4. North Wildwood - Is there a way to find out which streets are to be closed off for races and the times? I've looked in the papers, but have had limited luck. Thanks.

  5. Court House - The spout about requiring military experience for a would-be president disregards the good presidents we had without such service, including Jefferson, Lincoln and Wilson. On the other hand, Bush's so-called service with the Air National Guard did not prevent him from a reckless overseas adventure. Maybe a better standard would be an extensive knowledge of past presidential history, with a written exam to qualify.

  6. Ocean City - With still almost 16 months yet to go before the actual presidential election, just how much more can the viewing public take with non-stop babble about who is up and who is not? The predictable result is almost a complete turn off by would be voters, especially the young, which I see already with my 20-something nieces and nephews, who reach their voting views by watching those late night TV people.

  7. North Wildwood / Glenside - Thanks to the guys who offered to pull my very heavy beach cart on the 15th Street Beach in North Wildwood over the weekend of July 25. Goes to show that there are still plenty of gentlemen in this world!

  8. Villas - The link between Route 9 and Seashore Road in Erma has increased traffic on Tabernacle Road. This has made the intersection of Tabernacle Road, at its western end, and Fishing Creek Road a worse hazard than it has been. "Y" intersections cause many accidents. The county and township should get together and change it.

  9. Lower Township - The drivers who complain about vehicles passing probably don't do the minimum speed limit. I bet people who don't maintain the minimum speed limit cause more accidents than those who exceed the limit. Accidents are caused by drivers trying to pass! If you can't maintain the minimum speed, you should not be driving!

  10. North Wildwood - Regarding the seawall and people having an issue with people and dogs: I walk my dog, I jog and I power walk and never have an issue. It's about being responsible for your actions; keep a short leash; if jogging don't run up on people. What I do have an issue with is the trash that is left by people. Beer cans, plastic bags, fish line, bait, hooks, fish blood, water bottles, paper towels, etc. If you are using the wall for any activity, be responsible and respectful, and clean up after yourself.
