  1. Wildwood - After visiting Wildwood every summer, I bought a second home here last year. It's a decision that I will never regret. The taxes are affordable and my street is maintained. I'd also like to thank the fire dept. for taking care of my mother-in-law when she fell, and the police for shutting down the party house next door.

  3. Rio Grande - We were shocked and revolted by a discussion on a cable channel about not televising the brutal and horrific slaying of that reporter in Iraq, with many responding that such videos should be televised in the interest of freedom of information. Have we as a nation become so crass and desensitized that we get some type of satisfaction in another human's brutal suffering?

  4. Dennis Township - Aren't there enough spouts about schools and teachers already? How come nobody bothers to babble about doctors or preachers, or is it that just because you went to school you know everything about education? I'm not involved with the schools, but I think too many people with no recent school experiences submit these spouts.

  7. Wildwood / North Wildwood - I don't understand the Wildwood commissioners' mentality regarding beach fees. North Wildwood and Wildwood Crest are doing fine managing their budgets for the beach lifeguards and maintenance without beach fees. The motel room tax as well as increased meter locations and meter fees are doing fine for NW and WC. This only highlights the fact that the Wildwood commissioners can't manage money, since they also take in a room tax and meter fees, in addition to the tourism stipend of $200,000+. It doesn't cost NW or WC $2 million a year to maintain and protect the same-sized beach.

  8. Lower Township - Regarding the spout concerning legal immigrant workers benefiting the economy: I have no issue with hard working immigrant workers. However, a better solution would be to stop allowing American citizens to use government assistance programs as a "lifestyle." These programs were designed to provide temporary assistance. If abusers were dropped from the programs, they would be forced to take the jobs that immigrant workers hold now. That would benefit the economy and also reduce the incentive for illegal immigrants to migrate to the U.S.

  9. Court House - What's more aggravating than when you bring in your car to a dealer for service at an appointed time, and not only do you have to wait until they're good and ready to start, but they barely acknowledge you when you first walk in? This is a good case for schools training more women to do auto service work, where your chances of being treated more civilly are greater.

  10. Lower Township - In response to the spout about NJ DUI laws: There is no excuse for drinking and driving! I enjoy having cocktails, a good time and relaxing, however, that does not give anyone the right to drive and put others in harms way. Plan ahead, designate a non-drinking driver or arrange for a cab.
