  1. Wildwood - To the spouter from Wildwood: How can you call our statements concerning the 'millions' of 'illegal' aliens baseless? The illegal aliens are taking jobs that we, the American citizens, want and need. The illegal aliens have taken over hundreds of thousands of construction jobs in America, as well as here in Cape May County. Jobs that myself and many people here in Wildwood have lost due to illegal immigration. Our school taxes have gone way up from illegal immigration. The Europeans are coming here legally, not illegally.

  2. Dennis Township - Are the traffic lights being put up at the new overpass temporary, until the other side is completed, or will they be there for good? Is there a diagram or map of what the new traffic pattern will look like? It seems a bit confusing now; it looks like new lanes and new turn lanes are being created.

  3. Lower Township - Why is it when a politician wants to be elected, he feels the need to say what his opponent is not doing or has not done? Why not be positive? Tell me what you will do! I've heard Neville say he is for dune protection and flood prevention. Is Perry in favor of dune protection? I'd like to hear more about what the candidates support.

  4. Cape May / North Cape May - The cove beach area in Cape May is, without question, one of the prettiest spots on the Jersey shore. A word of caution to anyone wanting to venture into the water. Over the weekend, my son and I decided to body surf. We are both surfers and good watermen. The sand drops off rapidly and we were in three feet of water just steps off the beach. This was at high tide. While in the water, there were numerous, deep "potholes" on the bottom and the current moved rapidly to the point section of Cape May. Without lifeguards, just be careful this time of year.

  5. Middle Township - After submitting a spout about the mayor not responding to a couple attempts to resolve some problems, I will say that issue has been resolved. I contacted the mayor on his cell phone and we had a very productive discussion. He sounds committed and said he will look into the subjects that showed so much support on this forum. My hope is he will follow through for the good people of this township. I believe he will, and thank you mayor.

  6. Middle Township - I wonder how many of these individuals who go on shooting rampages are also on medication? We don't know what's in those pills, but whatever it is, it isn't working. Maybe we should stop arguing about guns and start arguing about pharmaceuticals?

  7. Wildwood Crest - They should move the fireman's parade route to Ocean Ave. People along the boardwalk and in the hotels could see it better.

  8. Court House - The non-stop babble on cable news about the Nov. elections for Congress is a waste of time, since, regardless of the vote, there will still be enough legislators from the losing party to thwart any meaningful laws to be passed. There are just enough Republicans in the House and Democrats in the Senate to continue the political gridlock now existing, and Obama's veto power will stop any meaningful Republican bills.

  9. Sea Isle City - In response to a recent spout and related comments about school lunches: Parents are responsible for feeding their own children. The fact that schools have food, either for sale or provided free at taxpayer expense, should be considered a convenience, not a right. I am tired of my tax money paying to feed the children of people who are financially able to do so themselves. I support charitable groups that feed the hungry and homeless, but it seems like my tax money goes to feed those with a sense of entitlement. A brown bag and some PB&J has worked for generations.

  10. Cape May Beach - Senior citizens, for those of you who missed it, on MSNBC Sept. 22, Obama's chief advisor on Obamacare implied that if we dared to live beyond age 75, somehow we were unpatriotic for taking up valuable space and benefits. Let's show them how we really feel about this issue in Nov. and in 2016.
