  1. Middle Township - The people who own property and pay taxes are the owners of this township. If you live here and work for the township, you are also part owner. Now, if you would like to run things the way you think it should be run, you can save those thoughts for your own property. As for the township as a whole, we have laws and ordinances that you are to administer and enforce equally. No one is authorized to change, edit or rewrite laws and ordinances without proper guidelines. Why is this blatant activity taking place?

  2. North Cape May - I was food shopping in North Cape May July 3, ready to pay with my new debit card when the cashier stated it didn't take. I forgot to activate the card in the time allowed. I was so embarrassed. I was going to go to my bank, leaving my full cart in the lobby, when the man behind me told the cashier he would pay for my groceries. I said no but he and his wife insisted. I asked for his name and address so I could send a check to them, but they said no. I wanted to say thank you and let them both know I paid it forward. I sent two checks to two different organizations.

  3. Avalon - What's up with the loud fire siren that went off twice in the middle of the night July 27? Is this necessary? Isn't there a better way than waking the entire town whenever there is an incident?

  4. North Wildwood - While a drowning death is a tragedy, it is not the beach, ocean or shoreline's fault. If you visit the Grand Canyon, Hawaii's beaches or other areas of high risk, you are accepting that risk by visiting that location. It's absurd that we live in a time where someone can sue a town and a beach for a tragic accident that occurred after lifeguard hours. What is the world coming to?

  5. Court House - Illegals pouring into our southern border unchecked is straight out of Cloward/Piven and Saul Alinsky handbooks; overwhelm the system. By intentionally creating an open door, no border policy backed by diminished border security, no deportations and taxpayer bought and paid for attorneys, the Obama administration is flooding our country with illegals who are and will suck the system dry in order to force amnesty either by Congress or by the executive pen. Congress needs to hold the president accountable for ignoring the laws and Holder for not enforcing the laws!

  6. Wildwood - I went to the Dutch Hoffman Lifeguard Races July 25 for the first time in awhile. What happened to all the female events and the short sprint rowing events? I loved that type of racing. I am disappointed in the new format.

  8. Dennis Township - The money we are taxed for open space preservation should be used just for that and not for athletic fields and other phony projects that the county is allowing through a grant program. I really thought my township would steer clear of this, but I can see Committeeman Germanio, who is up for re-election this year, has other ideas. If we are going to apply for this grant and put up matching funds, please put the project in the hands of people who know what they are doing and not someone who thought nothing of wasting $20,000 of our money on a three month twp. administrator.

  9. Middle Township - MTHS can succeed as a choice school by driving out the problematic students, which in turn will make parents of the good students more likely to send them to MTHS. Honors and AP class sizes need to be kept small. MTHS should offer less lower level academic courses to make room for more AP, Honors, and advanced courses. MTHS can boost enrollment essentially by adding by subtracting. Subtract the bad students by not tolerating any misbehavior and disrespect at all and good students will replace them in greater numbers. Make MTHS a magnet school that caters to high performing students.

  10. Court House - I've driven over the bridge on Ocean Drive heading into Stone Harbor to avoid the Parkway construction. It seems that it is a very popular bicycle route also. However, it is a most dangerous situation as the bridge is extremely narrow. An errant wobble of a bicycle or an overly anxious car driver can cause a disastrous accident. I don't know what can be done about this, but I hope that someone with authority is reading this and will address the issue.
