  1. North Cape May - To the spouter from Cape May and his/her suggestion to add a few cents to the price of gas to pay for bridge and road repairs in our state: For the record, that is what our tolls are supposed to be used for, and as for me, I like the gas prices just the way they are right now.

  2. Stone Harbor - Cable news is awash with yet another "leak" about how certain Obama administration aides insulted Netanyahu, Israel's prime minister, calling him a coward and a chicken, over the way he plays to his right wing conservatives at home. Now, he is planning even more construction in East Jerusalem, guaranteed to cause more trouble with the Arabs there. Can't our CIA replace him in the interest of peace?

  3. Lower Township - According to Mayor Beck, the police station needs to be moved in order to fight the growing drug problem in Lower Township. What difference does it make where the police station is located in order to fight drugs and drug trafficking?

  4. North Cape May - A satellite health clinic for AIDS and STD testing has no place in the Lower Cape May Senior Center. What's next? A needle exchange?

  5. Wildwood / Stone Harbor - As an honorably discharged, disabled wartime vet, I am mortified by Wildwood Mayor Troiano's suggestion of having special courts for veterans. We veterans are proud of our service to our nation, but like everyone else, we are foremost proud of being an American. We want the same opportunity, the same equality and the same court system that other Americans share.

  6. Wildwood - What makes the nurses and doctors who return from other countries feel that they don't have to be quarantined? A two star general and his personnel are in quarantine in another country. If we had leaders who would make it mandatory for all returning, we would not have this fear in our country.

  7. Stone Harbor - I am really disgusted with the way things are being operated in this county, with rewarding the local politicians and their family members with county jobs. I have no problem if people are qualified for the job, but given a job because of political favors is ridiculous. There have been civil service workers doing certain jobs for years and after the elections they get supervisors who have no idea how to do the job. Some even get jobs and do nothing, or are collecting other pensions on top of the new pension job.

  8. Wildwood - To a Wildwood spouter: Those students coming here from countries overseas in the summer are not the ones doing the hacking. They are good kids who come here "legally" to work the summer season, unlike the illegal aliens from South America, who come here and commit many crimes, steal and use American citizens' social security numbers, get free food stamps and medical care, and cost us taxpayers billions of dollars a year in school taxes alone. They are the ones we must be aware of.

  9. West Wildwood - I think that the taxpayers of West Wildwood should vote to disband the police department and contract the service out at a fixed fee. They do this in smaller communities in other parts of the state that have more square miles than West Wildwood. It would be far cheaper than the current salary, benefits, pension and equipment purchases they currently spend.

  10. Cape May / Wildwood - I don't live in Cape May, but I bet the assertion that Cape May stores keep getting "robbed" is not true. The spouter said, "Cape May stores keep getting robbed, mostly because people think it's a small, safe town." I bet they are talking about shoplifting or other theft. Robbery is a crime involving force or threat of force, and I just can't picture that happening frequently in Cape May. Yes, shoplifting is a problem, but it happens everywhere. People steal, especially from stores because we have lost the moral compass from our society. Please, let's not alarm people with tales of robberies.
