ABC news has a camera that shoots the beach at Pittsburgh Ave. often to show the beautiful views of our beaches. That embarrassing lifeguard concoction certainly ruins the picture. Made of yellow siding and sitting on top of a smaller support, it looks like it's floating on air. What is the purpose of this thing, and if it does serve a purpose, why isn't it more substantial and more in accord with it's surroundings? The vinyl fences, restrooms, etc. along the beachfront are a blaring eyesore to our Victorian town. How did this happen? Can we correct it?
