The Woodbine American Legion Post 298 is hosting war stories from the Korean War, including the history of how the U.S. got into the Korean War and the fight in the trenches. Dick Mathers will be telling his story from the trenches of Korea fighting the N. Koreans with one bullet left in his rifle and the Koreans attacking by the thousands. Obviously, he survived, and now he's telling the story.
So, come on out, learn a little history and listen to some great stories. The event will take place at the American Legion Post 298 on 515 Washington Ave. in Woodbine on Saturday, Jan. 25 at 1:00 PM. Admission is free and refreshments will be available. For more information, contact Dave at 609-861-2456 or Arnold at 609-861-2387.
