The Cape May County Library invites the public to join the “Mardi Gras Cooking Demonstration” presented by Chef James Harris at 1 p.m. on Jan. 28. The demonstration will take place at the Main Library located at 30 W. Mechanic Street, Cape May Court House.
The New Orleans Carnival season consists of parades, dancing and king cake parties. Come enjoy a celebration of great Mardi Gras cuisine. Chef Harris will prepare a delicious collection of gumbo, red beans and rice, etouffee, mini muffaletta, pralines and king cake.
Chef Harris was trained in the culinary arts at Johnson & Wales University. He has qualified as a GREAT Guide as part of NFCA’s Gluten-free Resource Education and Awareness Training program, though this program will not be gluten free.
