County Hosts Educational Seminar on Medicare Part D

Cape May County Freeholder Kristine Gabor announced that the Cape May County Department of Aging and Disability Services will host a Medicare Part D education and enrollment seminar on Tue., Oct. 23, 2012. The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Lower Cape Senior Center located at 2612 Bayshore Road in the Villas.

State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP) counselors will provide assistance in choosing a Medicare prescription drug plan for 2013. Additionally, the presentation will include a discussion on Medicare, Medicare Advantage, Medicare supplemental plans, prescription assistance eligibility and enrollment, plus a discussion of special benefits programs; Medicare beneficiaries.

The State Health Insurance Assistance Program (S.H.I.P.) is a statewide program administered by the New Jersey Department of Human Services-Division of Aging Services, with major funding from the U.S. Department of Health Human Services, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and supported by the Cape May County Board of Chosen Freeholders.
