Annual Transportation Infrastructure Conference

The public is invited to attend the ninth annual Cape May County Transportation Infrastructure Conference hosted by Freeholder Will Morey on March 14, 2013. The Free conference will take place from 10 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. (sign- in and refreshments at 9:30 a.m.) at the County Administration Building located at 4 Moore Road in Cape May Court House, exit 11 off the Garden State Parkway.

Invited speakers to this year’s conference include: State Senator Jeff Van Drew, James S. Simpson, Commissioner, New Jersey Department of Transportation, Samuel Donelson, Acting Executive Director, South Jersey Transportation Authority, John Withers, Supervising Engineer, New Jersey Turnpike Authority, Sheree Davis, Bicycle and Pedestrian Coordinator, New Jersey Department of Transportation, Scott Green, Executive Director, Delaware River Bay Authority and Dale Foster, Cape May County Engineer.

The Conference will focus on significant issues including Garden State Parkway Improvements, Repairing and Rebuilding roads and infrastructure damaged from Hurricane Sandy, an update on the Airport Connector, DRBA Improvements and Bikeway Projects.

Freeholder Morey said, “As Freeholder, one of my goals is to encourage and foster economic growth in Cape May County – Transportation Infrastructure plays an important role in this arena. It is important that we are all working together to better our community, that is why I continue to keep an open dialogue with our 16 municipalities and hold conferences such as this one to stimulate the discussion.”
