9th Annual Fabulous 50's Weekend

The Greater Wildwood Chamber of Commerce presents the 9th Annual Fabulous ‘50s & Beyond Weekend Celebration Oct. 12 and Oct. 13 in the Wildwoods – a two-day celebration paying tribute to the 1950’s and highlighting the Wildwoods’ role as the birthplace of Rock ‘n Roll music.

The fun begins Friday night, Oct. 12, inside the Wildwoods Convention Center with a Dance Party hosted by the “Geator with the Heater” Jerry Blavat, who is guaranteed to get everyone moving and grooving to classic oldies. The Dance Party takes place from 7 - 11 p.m. and admission is $13 per person.

Oct. 13, from 11 a.m. - 5 p.m will feature an afternoon of outdoor fun and music during the free Fabulous ‘50s & Beyond Street Fair at Fox Park, located across from the Wildwoods Convention Center on Ocean Avenue. The Street Fair will include free live entertainment throughout the day as well as a classic car show, a Doo-Wop ‘50s Bus Tour and a variety of vendors offering ‘50s memorabilia, merchandise, delicious food options and much more. The Doo-Wop Experience Museum will also be open – where guests can view authentic ‘50s memorabilia, artifacts, room displays, unique items and the amazing i-Wall display of the 1950’s history of the Wildwoods.

Saturday evening at 7 p.m., the weekend’s featured event – the Fabulous ‘50s & Beyond Concert – will take place in the Oceanfront Arena at the Wildwoods Convention Center starring Kenny Vance & The Planotones, The 5th Dimension featuring Florence LaRue, The Orlons and Paul Revere & The Raiders. Admission is $49.50 per person.
